Training; Step 1: Naval Academy
Description: The FCNY Naval Academy is wear you will learn all the areas, rooms, spaces, and nooks and crannies of a FLEETCOM Naval Vessel or ship (FCS). You will also be expected to learn all of the important terms and regulations of "ship life".
Basic Terms
These terms are the terms your Captain will use to communicate with you in battle or training.
Bow-Front of the ship
Stern-Back of the ship
Amidship-Middle part of the ship; usually the longest with the superstructure on top
Midship-Middle part of the Amidship area
Superstructure-The part of the ship that contains all rooms and operating centers
Forward-The front part of the Amidship
Astern/Aft-The farthest area from the forward Amidship; in front of the Stern
Bridge-Operating area for the entire ship
OD-Observation deck; a lookout area usually situated below the bridge
AAP .30 cal-Anti-Air/Personal .30 caliber (machine gun turret)
AAP .50 cal-Anti-Air/Personal .50 caliber (default warthog gun)
LRG-Light Rail Gun (gauss warthog un)
GRS-Guided Rocket System (rocket warthog)
CC Team-Command & Control Team; Security force utilized during enemy boarding parties
CO-Command Officer; Captain of the ship
XO-Executive Officer; 1st Mate/2nd-in-command of the ship
Deck Gun/Battery Turret-99mm Gun (scorpion tank)
Port-Left side of the ship
Starboard-Right side of the ship
Conning Tower-Overall lookout area; highest point on a ship; not present on all vessels
